Aveda, Sally Hansen prime and prep the models.
January 16, 2015
By: Melissa Meisel
Continuing with the exclusive nail sponsorship with Stella McCartney Collections for the second season, Sally Hansen hit backstage on Manhattan’s Upper East Side at the James Burden mansion for the Stella McCartney Autumn 2015 Presentation. There, Sally Hansen Global Ambassador Madeline Poole created the beautiful nude nail look for the show. The lacquer style complemented the elegance of the collection and was created with the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Sweet Talker. The color choice was selected from Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure Collection touted for offering seven benefits in one bottle. “We used two coats of Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure in Sweet Talker – this color is a sheer pastel pink. I wanted this to work as a blush or a lip gloss would, by enhancing the natural nails, just adding a warm blush tint without fully covering the nail. A super shiny ‘milk glass’ effect,” said Poole. Meanwhile, pristine, clean, fresh-looking hair complemented the looks at McCartney’s presentation. To accompany the luxurious, wearable pieces that encompassed old-world styles in modern silhouettes and fabrics, Aveda Global Creative Director Antoinette Beenders prepped the hair to look gorgeous and healthy and then styled it into an easy, low-laying pony-tail. “Stella wanted beautiful, squeaky clean hair to complement her collection,” said Benders. “To create this look, we prepped hair with Pure Abundance Style Prep and dried it using a fine-toothed comb. This created a shiny and healthy style which we then gently mussed up with Dry Remedy Daily Moisturizing Oil for a more natural look.”
